Banana Bars with Brown Butter Frosting

For this recipe you'll need: butter, sugars, vanilla extract, rum extract, eggs, flour, salt, baking powder, and the brown butter frosting


In one bowl, beat together butter, sugars, vanilla, and eggs. Add in mashed banana and then fold in the dry ingredients.

Making the Batter

Pour the batter into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean or with only a few crumbs at 350 degrees F.

Making the Banana Bars

Mix together the ingredients for the brown butter frosting. Once banana bars are cooled then spread the frosting over the top and serve. Top with flaky sea salt or sliced banana if you'd like.
