For this recipe you'll need: olive oil, green onion, garlic, tomato paste, vodka, heavy cream, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, butter, basil, and pasta.
Heat a large sauté pan over low heat and add the green onions. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add in the garlic and stir until fragrant, about 20 seconds
Add tomato paste, turn the heat up to low-medium and cook for 4-5 minutes stirring frequently until it starts to get darker and caramelized. Pour in the vodka and stir then whisk in the heavy cream. Bring to a simmer for 4 minutes
Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water then drain the pasta. Add the pasta plus ½ cup pasta water to the sauce pan. Stir well.
