For this loaded smashed potatoes recipe you'll need: Idaho potatoes, bacon, cream cheese, sour cream, green onions, cheddar cheese, butter and garlic.
Cut bacon into small pieces and cook over medium heat in a large skillet. Once bacon is cooked, add garlic and continue for an additional 20 seconds.
Add peeled cooked potatoes to stand mixer and mix until almost smooth. Add in remaining ingredients and mix well.
Add loaded mashed potatoes into casserole dish then top with additional cheddar cheese and bacon. Bake 10 minutes until cheese is melted.
