For this Standing Rib Roast recipe you'll need: a bone in rib roast, salt, pepper, Dijon mustard, garlic, thyme, rosemary, Worcestershire, onion, flour, red wine, chicken and beef broth.
Mix the ingredients for the garlic Dijon spread together in a small bowl. This can be mixed up days ahead of time if desired.
Preheat oven to 450°F. Season standing rib roast with salt, pepper and oil. Roast for 25 minutes then pull from oven.
Spread mixture over standing rib roast evenly.. Roast for an additional 90 minutes or until thermometer reaches 120-125°F in the center or the ribeye roast.
Remove Standing Rib Roast from the oven and let rest while you make the red wine demi sauce.
