Ingredients
  

For the Glazed Shallots

  • 2 lbs shallots trimmed and peeled
  • cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup white wine dry
  • 4 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2.5 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 12 sprigs fresh thyme

Instructions
 

To Make the Glazed Shallots

  • Trim and peel the shallots
    peeled shallots and all ingredients prepped and ready to go
  • Add all ingredients to a heavy bottomed sauce pan and bring to a boil
    all ingredients added into a cast iron skillet to be cooked
  • Once boiling reduce heat to a simmer until almost all liquid is gone
  • Turn the heat back up to medium - high and stir frequently until you have caramelized shallots and a thick syrupy glaze

  • Remove from the heat and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

Keep an eye on the shallots, especially once they're about halfway done and the liquid starts to become thick and syrupy. They need to be stirred more frequently so they do not burn.
